Did that one ever surface? Did they put it in the 'Thornography Deluxe' booklet/package or something?

Nah, got destroyed. But not much more interesting though...just a short skirt on the girl...

OMG, I want the banned cover. I heard them say the short skirt thing is the reason why it was banned, but I'm not believing that's what got it banned.

Doesn't Walmart sell short skirts as well? They are so contradicting! lol
If any one has the banned cover, Just send it to me...Because the dark side has cookies.:D *raises eyebrow*

Great if Dani should post the original banned artworks on the gospel of filth, all the stuff never made it on the official releases.

I read somewhere this cover was on the 'First day cover' - it can be this with that title -, the special edition with a slipcase. It's limited to 10 000 copies, I guess.

The banned Thornography cover had very little difference to the finished version. The skirt was shorter on the original, apparently, so they just lengthened it. Presumably a lot of retailers refused to stock it when that much leg was shown. A bit stupid really considering there are much MUCH more explicit album covers out there.

Nah, it's not true. I asked someone who owns it about it. The First Day Cover edition didn't include it... And neither did the Thornography Deluxe edition (this topic is so old, I bought it since then, lol).

Read this old interview.

"J: There was a little controversy with the art, right?

D: Apparently... it's only a few variants on it, really, it's pretty much the same thing. There was a corpse on the ground, some stuff in the background, some insinuations they didn't like... and I think the woman's legs were naked. The changes were very minor."

I've also read a lot of interviews where they only mentioned the skirt, but this one gives a little more information...

Hmm...interesting. Still, it seems the changes were pretty minor. Funny how I've seen plenty of record stores stocking Thornography that seem to have no problem with stocking stuff like Vempire too.
